|
|
Club Committees Meet Monthly and are
Chaired by Fairlane Club Members.
The Athletic Committee
The objectives of the Athletic Committee are:
- To provide guidance, advice and
recommendations to Club management, staff and the Board of
Governors regarding all aspects of the Club relating to
athletics, including policy, personnel, operations,
equipment, events, member concerns, programs, and activities
of the Club.
- To serve as a liaison and
communication channel between the Club's members and
management, staff, and the Board of Governors.
- To be active in attending, hosting,
sponsoring, and supporting Club activities, programs,
special events and member parties, thus promoting higher
levels of usage and member satisfaction.
- Embrace the membership by invitation
process by actively promoting new enrollments
The Membership Committee
The Membership Committee’s objective is to assist the Board
of Governors in meeting their annual goal of growing membership,
drive club usage and improve Member/Guest experience. In order
to accomplish these 3 goals, the committee will:
- Offer guidance and recommendations to
Club management on Member services.
- Be active in attending, hosting and
supporting Club activities, programs and Member Special
Events thus promoting higher levels of usage and Member
satisfaction.
- To serve as a liaison and
communication channel between the club’s Members and
management, staff, other Club committee’s and the Board of
Governors.
- Personally welcoming new Members to
the club and promote upcoming Member activities
- Champion 2 core Member events per
year
The Tennis Committee The Tennis Committee will be the major influence in shaping
a successful Tennis Membership, and will help develop the
club’s prominence and involvement in our community.
Primarily, the Tennis Committee will work with the Director
of Tennis in the development and implementation of Tennis
Programs and opportunities to build a strong Membership.
Through social and business contacts, committee Members will
introduce prospective Members to the Tennis Programs and
Events and will encourage their fellow Members to do so as
well.
The Committee is the mainstream for a quality Tennis
Program, and acts as a part of a group which constantly
reflects the needs, desires and concerns of the Club
Members. By providing Club Management with insight as to
Members’ needs and interests, the Committee will assist with
the retention of existing Members. Committee members should
be willing to meet with new Members and encourage
involvement in programs and events helping make The Fairlane
Club the premiere Tennis Club in Southeastern Michigan.
Club 39
Club
39 is a new Club within the Club for Members in the age
range of 21-39. Club 39 was established to cater to the
needs and desires of that age segment of the membership and to
lead the membership in the future for the Club. A committee made
up of interested Members manages the activities of Club 39
and is chaired by Yasmin Eloian.
The committee is instrumental in developing ideas for events and
activities that would engage Members of Club 39 where
they can connect and create lasting relationships and
friendships. For example, Happy Hours and Family Nights will
give this age group an outlet for getting to know their fellow
Members and to have some fun. These events will be posted around
the Club and in the club newsletter. Also look for Club 39
to host two major events this year, a summer Midnight Swim
and a Halloween Masquerade Ball. One item of interest is that
Club 39 wants all of the Members regardless of age to
participate in their activities and events to make it a true
club event.
The Junior Board of Governors
The Junior Board of Governors is a committee for the the
children and focused on children's activities. The members of
the Junior Board are responsible for assisting with the
promotion and development new programs at the Club. They are to
attend monthly programs and meet once a month. Each Junior Board
has a term of one year to serve to allow for new growth and
opportunity for other children of the Club. Children on the
committee range from ages 8 to 13.
The Family Committees
The Family Committee is formed to ensure the growth and
development of family presence and involvement in The Fairlane
Club’s current Membership. Through ambassadorship, advocacy, and
leadership, we will create an energetic and welcoming
environment that fosters family ties and friendships.
The Family Committee’s objectives are:
- Function as the eyes and ears of this
segment of the Membership
- Consult with Club Management and the
Board of Governors
- Give insight and support on planning
events and activities while encouraging Member participation
