Group Exercise Guide
Abs and Arms –
This great 30 minute class is
everything you need to tone up those arms and flatten your
tummy. Abs and Arms is the perfect addition to satisfy your
needs for resistance training. Keep your bone density high and
your muscles firm with this excellent class. Check the schedule
for a great cardio class immediately before Abs and Arms for a
complete 90 minute workout.
Ab-Blaster-
A fast paced, 30-minute workout designed to fatigue your
abdominal muscles in every way possible. The core muscles are
some of the most important in the body. Unfortunately, they are
also some of the most difficult to work and develop effectively.
By combining isolation and total-body movements, this class will
be everything you have been looking for to BLAST YOUR ABS!
Movements and patterns are designed to specifically develop
strength, stability, endurance, and power.
Ball Dynamics-
A class designed to rid the body of
tension, and improve posture, core strength, flexibility,
stamina, spinal stability and physical health. The class style
promotes optimal posture and alignment while simultaneously
strengthening and stretching the body. The varied levels and
modifications made within the class make it an effective program
regardless of age, fitness level or background.
Bands-
This class is uniquely designed to build strength, flexibility
and total body conditioning through the use of rubber tubing and
bands.
30 Minute Body Blitz
– In only 30 short minutes, you’ll get a great weight training
workout. Get your workout out of the way on your lunch hour and
still have time to shower and be back to work. We’ll even help
you order lunch from the Grille before your workout. This
noon-hour class is the perfect workout for the Member on the go.
Boot Camp Boxing
– An intense class filled with a mixture of basic punching
techniques and a variety of calisthenics for a total body
workout. Why not increase your overall fitness levels? Before
your first class, let your instructor know so they can assist
you on basic punching techniques.
Circuit Training
– A high performance class that challenges your body every way
possible. The benefits of circuit training are undisputed and
well recognized as the best way to keep your body balanced and
functioning at a high level. In addition to challenging your
cardiovascular system, you’ll gain muscular strength and
endurance, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination.
Believe it or not, you’ll have fun too!
Cycling
– The Fairlane Club’s version of "Spinning". An endurance
challenge full of intervals, hills, jumps, and speed play. As
with any class, beginners through advanced cyclists are welcome.
Make sure you sign up for this class at the Athletic Desk due to
limited space.
Cycle/Box
– By combining two Fairlane Club favorites you’ll find that
Cycle/Box is an excellent and enjoyable way to get an incredible
cardiovascular workout. 30 minutes of boxing and 30 minutes of
cycling combine aggressive upper and lower body movements giving
you the best workout for the time. This class requires you to
sign up in advance at the athletic desk.
Kickboxing
– A cardiovascular version of a tried and true activity. You’ll
practice basic Kickboxing moves and combinations while enhancing
your strength, endurance, and flexibility. Before your first
class, let your instructor know so they can make sure you have
basic kicking and punching technique before you begin. Make sure
you sign up for this class at the Athletic Desk due to limited
space.
Pump
– Feel the burn!!! This high repetition class will incorporate
the use of dumbbells and resist-a-balls to give you a mind
blowing workout. Think of Pump as the combination of traditional
weight training movements with a non-traditional muscle fatigue.
Get ready to pump it up!
Step
– A high intensity, low impact workout that combines bench
stepping with upper body movements. For all fitness levels,
intensity can be controlled by the height of the step, range of
motion, and upper body movement.
Stretch & Sculpt
– A workout designed to improve muscular strength and endurance.
Use dumbbells and dynamic stretches to improve your overall
conditioning and flexibility.
30 Minute Total Body Workout
– 30 minutes is all it takes to get a great body resistive
workout. This is a simple way to fit in a workout when pressed
for time. Build your cardiovascular and resistive fitness all in
one.
Total Conditioning -
It's time to work all those muscles in one 60 minute workout.
Each week will be a new and exciting work out, sure to nock your
socks off and leave you begging for more! This class will
combine all types of training techniques, including plyometrics,
natural body conditioning, free weight resistance, aerobic
training and much more. If your looking for a change, or you
just want something out of the ordinary, stop by and try this
class. You won't be disappointed!
Trekking
– Join this innovative group treadmill class and get more from
your time in the gym. The class is held in the Fitness Center
and will help you do more regardless of your fitness level. The
intensity is up to you…..the bet is that it will be higher in a
trekking class than if you spent the time by yourself. Make sure
you sign up for this class in advance due to limited space. |
